Turkey: Kurtulus Church Projects

Province after province in Turkey languishes with no Christian witness whatsoever.  Courageous National Christians leave their homes and jobs behind to plant churches in regions that have never heard the Gospel.  You can help support them.

More Information--

Over the last 20 years the Church in Turkey has experienced significant growth.  Numbering only an estimated ten people in 1960, the National Turkish Church grew to 2,000 believers in 34 fellowships at the turn of the century.

Yet Turkey, whose population is 99.8% Muslim, remains the largest unreached nation in the world.  The very region for which the Apostle Paul poured his heart out is now spiritually blinded, groping in the bondage of Islam.  If only about 34 Christian fellowships exist among the 80 provinces in the country, then province after province languishes with no Christian witness at all.  This is especially true of the dangerous eastern region of Turkey, where Christianity is met with unique hostility, and the land borders Iraq and Iran, where millions of Muslims live and die never hearing the Gospel.

The Kurtulus Church in the capital city of Ankara looks to the east and longs to send forth evangelists and church planters.  But in order to reach this dark region, National Christians must be trained, must leave their jobs and incomes behind, must travel to an economically depressed area where people would rather harass them than pay them.

Turkish Christians are willing.  They would give up everything to follow the footsteps of Jesus and reveal His love to those who have never heard His Name.  Yet they cannot do it alone.  Someone must pay for their training and support them on the field, must provide their food, pay their rent, print their Bibles, construct their churches. Someone must provide the funding to sustain their ministries, and their very lives.  Those who give up everything need us to give a little.

The Kurtulus Church Project is dedicated to training and supporting these courageous Turkish Christians.  Your gifts to this project will be channeled to the former mission field of the Apostle Paul, and will meet the needs of those who are returning His Name to every province of this historic land.
