The list below is therefore only a recent sampling of incidents that we have compiled. There are many, many more. To learn more about persecution, click on the "learn" tab on the main menu.

Church demolished in Indonesia Indonesia

On March 21st, another church in Indonesia was destroyed by order of Islamic authorities.

Christians in Taman Sari Village, Indonesia, saw their 13-year-old church building, still under construction, demolished with a backhoe. For years they had tried to "get the right permits," repeatedly trying to get the appropriate authorization so the Huria Kristen Batak Protestant Church could meet legally. And for years they were given the run-around.

Faithful in Syria Syria

A pastor in Aleppo, SYRIA, says that every Sunday morning, 75 to 85 people are coming to church, risking their lives so they can pray together "for the Prince of Peace to change people's hearts and minds.” These people are at risk of starving and freezing to death. Praise God for their testimony of reliance on Him.

Christians under fire in Sudan Sudan

The jihad against the largest Christian community in SUDAN continues; believers hide in caves to escape constant air raids and bomb strikes initiated by President Omar al Bashir. Praise God for Respite! Uzbekistan

Authorities in UZBEKISTAN have stopped harassing "Paul," a young house-church pastor that Smyrna has helped receive Bible training. Praise God for this respite and ask our King to open doors so that Paul can continue to receive pastoral training and doctrine-focused discipleship.

So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of His will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. - Colossians 1:9

Pray for Imram to have boldness and endurance in the face of imminent danger and death.

Government in Kenya Kenya

KENYA: A Christian reports that, "The government is fearful; it does not know how to handle the Islamist drive, and thus has a tendency to give in easily to demands, sometimes at the expense of the churches."

Pray that believers will put their hope and trust firmly in the Lord of Heaven’s armies and not in the feeble governments and councils of men.
