Jordanian convert flees, loses family

December 28, 2008

A Jordanian Muslim, a former jihadist, came to Christ -- and fled the threats of his family, who revealed that a bounty had been placed on his head.  His wife and daughters were kept under "house arrest" by her family.  When the young woman escaped to join her Christian husband, her father tracked her down, stabbed her repeatedly, and crushed her head with a rock.

Please pray for this family: for the grieving young man, whose life is still forfeit for "apostasy"; for his young daughters, under the care of Muslim relatives; and for the extended family, that they will discover the life of love and freedom offered to them in Jesus Christ. "Thus says the Lord GOD: On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will cause the cities to be inhabited, and the waste places shall be rebuilt."
