Mob Attacks Christian Meeting
This spring in INDIA a mob of Muslims attacked Christians meeting for worship. Since then the Christians have been ostracized and prohibited from buying and selling in the area, from using public bathrooms, or using well water.
Pray that they will continue to be faithful. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort.”

A group of 11 Christians gathered in the home of Gaffar Shaike in India on March 30 for worship, prayer, and a shared meal. While they were meeting, Muslims broke into the house, beat them, and threatened them if they would not return to Islam. The attackers tried to block Christians from fleeing, and even beat a 65-year-old widow named Moyazan Bewa.
Selina Bibi was also beaten. This is not the first time Selina has been attacked for her faith. Last year, Muslims attacked and humiliated her for her faith. She says, “Even though the radicals have beaten me many times and want to kill me, I will not leave Jesus. I will worship Him as long as I live on this earth.”
During the March 30 attack, approximately 500 Muslim spectators gathered to watch as other Muslims chased Christians for about an hour and a half. One woman says, “Some were standing on the house roofs, some stood in front of their houses and on the road. There was a huge number of people who were mocking, pushing and shouting at us while some were also just spectators.”
At one point the Christians were cornered and pleaded with the Muslims to let them go. Eventually they were released, but their attackers continued to shout that they must “leave Jesus or face more sufferings.”
The believers have continued to face persecution for their faith. Compass Direct News reports,
The Muslims have since ostracized the Christians, prohibiting them to buy and sell in the area and keeping them from using the public bathroom and water well…. The extremists have sternly told all shopkeepers not to sell anything to the Christians, and at press time they were all complying with the order.
Please pray for these believers.

“Then Jesus told His disciples, ‘If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” –Matthew 16:24-25
