Martyrs’ Family Forced into Hiding

In EGYPT the family of two brutally murdered Christian brothers is on the run because Muslims have threatened to kill other family members. Following a conflict between a Muslim and a Christian whom the family did not even know, Muslims targeted the brothers for punishment because they were considered to be Christian elders in their village.

Ask God to encourage, comfort, and sustain the family. “Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.”

After a complicated series of events, two innocent brothers, Kamel Tamer Abraham and Camille Tamer Abraham, were murdered for being Christian elders in their village. The wife of one of the martyrs tells her heartbreaking story.

She and her children were present as Camille’s throat was slit. When the attackers were about to leave, they noticed that Camille was still breathing, and they slit his throat again. Camille’s four-year-old son, Michael, who had been sleeping, awoke crying and called to his father to wake up. Then the attackers threatened to kill Michael, too, over his father’s body. Camille’s wife screamed and begged until they left. Michael, his siblings, mother, and aunt all escaped, but now Muslims are demanding the deaths of all the children. The entire Abraham family was forced to flee and is in hiding. 

Michael and his siblings must be severely traumatized by what they saw. Please ask God to provide a refuge for this family.
