LEARN MORE: TRAGEDY DURING A KENYAN CHURCH SERVICE
On the last Sunday of April, a man sat down in the worship service in the area where the music team normally sits. He pretended to be a worshiper, but looked uncomfortable and kept looking downward. Then he threw three hand grenades, fired a gun, and ran out of the church.
Only one of the grenades went off, but it was enough. A 27-year-old university student was killed, and 16 others were injured. Four of the church members were in critical condition.
The attacker of this Kenyan church is suspected to be from Somalia, where the Islamic group al Shabaab is active. Please pray for the congregation. Ask God for a swift recovery for the injured and for comfort for the grieving. Pray that they will have the grace to forgive.
