Young Girls Rescued in Yemen

May 24, 2010

Two girls, ages six and four, were just recently rescued in Yemen.  Last year they were kidnapped along with their parents and other Christians who worked at a hospital in Yemen. Their parents are still missing, and their two-year-old brother is believed to be dead.

Yemen is a strict Islamic country and is “notorious for government corruption, tribal conflict, and as a breeding ground for terrorism.” Christians there are forced to gather secretly in small groups, and over 200 foreigners have been abducted over the past 15 years. Praise God for the rescue of these two young girls, and pray that the believers in Yemen will be encouraged as they serve God in a dangerous country.
