Eleven Christians Arrested
This week in Eritrea, eleven more Christians were added to the thousands who live imprisoned in underground dungeons, metal shipping containers, and military barracks. These thousands face no criminal charges, but a number have suffered paralysis, blinding, or death.
Among these eleven new detainees were the four children of a pastor. Also arrested were four women meeting for prayer in a private home. All eleven Christians belong to a church congregation that has been worshiping together for sixty years, but eight years ago the government banned it along with many other evangelical churches.
Pray that God will give courage and perseverance to these believers. Pray that He will calm their hearts—especially the hearts of the four children.
