Micro-Enterprise Brings Eternal Dividends

God is doing amazing things through our ministry partner in West Africa, “Mbarra.” The woman in today’s prayer request was raised as a Muslim. She began learning about Jesus through a friend who introduced her to Mbarra’s micro-enterprise program. She says, “At a point in time fear gripped me of my husband finding out about my new faith and what he will do to me if he finds out but surprisingly, this fear never stopped me from risking my life to know more about Jesus Christ.”

Through the training and small loan she received with Mbarra’s ministry, she has started a successful small business, paid back the loan, and supports her daughter’s education. She says that otherwise the girl “would not have gone to school because of our financial challenges. She is now in school and doing very well. My husband has gained so much respect for me and I am only grateful to God for that. I have also introduced my daughter to Christ and I know that gradually all my family will come to know the Savior who is Jesus Christ.”

She has learned that “it is only Jesus Christ who can make the difference in one’s life.” She adds, “I have peace of mind that if I should die today by His Grace I know where I am going….I am in pain and crying for multitudes of women like me in my community and other places. Pray, they too would be bold to meet my best friend, the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray the Lord Jesus can use me to help other women.”
