Christians arrested for evangelizing
July 29, 2008
Six Christians were arrested as they left a friend's house in Algeria. Officials accused them of "distribution of religious material to convert Muslims" and "practice without authorization of non-Muslim worship." Two were acquitted; the other four have been sentenced to fines and suspended jail terms.
Pray that they will stand strong, and rejoice that they have been found worthy to suffer for the sake of Jesus. "I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me."
